Regular Classes
We offer two weekly West Coast Swing (WCS) classes tailored to different stages of your dance journey.
On Wednesdays we run a structured introductory course for brand new dancers, starting at the beginning of each month, followed by a drop-in session for those who have completed the introductory course or are building their foundational skills.
On Thursdays we focus on more experienced WCS dancers, with a skills and drills session and a class concentrating on musicality, and more complex pattern work and advance technique.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to extend your experience, our weekly classes provide a clear pathway to improve your West Coast Swing.
Please note that we don’t offer drop-in beginner classes. New dancers begin with our 4-week beginner course on the 1st Wednesday of the month. See New to WCS for more Details
Level 2 - Wednesdays
20:30-22:00 | Beyond Basics
The technique class (20:30) focuses on improving connection, and developing body awareness through structured drills. Expect a mix of solo exercises and partner work designed to deepen your understanding of West Coast Swing fundamentals rather than learning new patterns.
The second class (21:15) focuses on expanding your pattern repertoire, and variations, which is designed to build your confidence.
Best for: Those who have completed a beginner course.
Not suitable for beginners
Level 3 - Thursdays
19:30-21:00 | Experienced
For seasoned WCS dancers ready to refine their technique, and push their content. This class focuses on more nuanced partnering, connection, timing, and rhythms. A solid grasp of the fundamentals and bridging patterns is required to attend.
This class is progressive so we review and build on a theme throughout the month.
Best for: At least 6 months WCS experience.
Social Dancing - Thursdays
Social Dancing 21:00-22:00
End the night with social dancing! Practice new skills or just enjoy dancing to great music and chatting to fellow dancers.
We play a mix of Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Electronic, Blues, Country music, and more typically ranging from 80 to 110 bpm!
