Bristol Swing Fiesta 28-30 August 2026

Join us in the summer of 2026 for Bristol Swing Fiesta, a boutique West Coast Swing event held at Bristol Beacon, a beautiful performing arts venue in the city centre.

BSF offers top-quality instruction, a light competition schedule, early social dancing with the warm, welcoming vibes Bristol is known for.

The location is fantastic, close to the Harbourside and you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to sights, food and drink, and green spaces. The city is easy to get around - it’s truly walkable, or you could hop on a scooter!

The 2026 edition is our third year as a World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) event offering 3 days of workshops, social dancing and Jack and Jill competitions. 

It’s a summer event so expect it to be warm but the main ballroom has air conditioning! 

BSF has a relaxed and fun vibe with a learning and social focus, with plenty of time for both dancing and competitions - an essential part of what makes a WSDC event.

We offer the following Jack and Jill divisions: Newcomer, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced/All Star and Sophisticated.

We want everyone attending Bristol Swing Fiesta to have a safe and enjoyable experience. To ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone, all attendees are required to follow our event code of conduct. This covers: Key Contacts, Respect & Inclusivity, Consent & Boundaries, Behaviour & Safety, Incident & Reporting, Food & Alcohol, Under 18s, Personal Belongings, Violations, Photography and Videography policy.

  • We’re keeping things small, with limited tickets available, and we will have role-balancing in place.

    Group Pre-booking opens 30th March 2026.

    General Registration opens 1st April 2026. Role-balanced registrations will take priority and we’ll start a waitlist for solo followers.

  • Bristol Beacon is an elegant and versatile venue that combines Victorian architectural beauty with unbeatable sound quality.

    The main event is held in the Lantern Hall, and we will have a second floor in the stalls (“balloon”) bar, which is on the same floor.

    For daytime levelled workshops, we have secured an additional nearby air conditioned venue - Bristol Folk House.

  • By plane

    • 25 minutes from Bristol Airport 

    • 2 hours from London Heathrow 

    By train (where possible we recommend you travel by public transport)

    • 10 mins by taxi (or 20 mins walk) from Bristol Temple Meads, or

    • 15-20 mins by taxi from Bristol Parkway.

    By car

    • There is no onsite parking.

    • There is paid parking nearby in multi-storey car parks. 

    Bristol has a clean air zone and charges may apply to your vehicle. We encourage you to use the park-and-ride scheme.

    By bus

    There are frequent buses from Bristol Airport and Temple Meads station into the city centre.

  • There are plenty of fabulous cafes, bars, restaurants and grocery stores within a 5-10 minute walk.
